They did win the championship today! Amazing what a dedicated person can achieve.

Alan Pardew has left Charlton tonight after the 5-2 debacle today which I had the misfortune to witness - perhaps he'd like another job!

To be serious it is an inspirational story and puts the attitude of too many players in this country to shame.

A friend in the village had his grandson of 11 given a try out at Charlton yesterday, after which, they were taken to see the match.
When I saw him, (the grandfather) this morning, I warned him to tell his grandson to be prepared to play next week. We need some new blood.
Trouble is the grandfather is a Spurs fan and was on Chelsea's books until he had a bust up with Tommy Docherty, so we may lose out.
I hope they don't bring back Curbs, that would be a mistake.

Reminds me of a film called "Hoosiers" with Gene Hackman. It's fictional and about basketball but the theme is the same.
Just that now, fact is stranger than fiction.
