Good timing?

Post by Katharine »

I won't be in work again until Friday week. I hope it means that I will miss all the chaos of changing the VAT rate.  Possibly I will have to sort some of it out when we get back, but I am trying not to think about that!

We are going on a Christmas Market trip to Germany, via Cologne to Wernigerode. I'm slightly perturbed to see their website doesn't mention the Christmas Market and I know that there are narrow gauge railways there, I've got enough of those here!! We shall be meeting Michael Scuffil in Cologne on our way back.

Have a wonderful time. Have you been before? I went to the Lincoln Chrismas market about 12 years ago and if the market stalls from its twin town, Neustadt an der Weinstrasse, are anything to go by, you will love it.

Fortunately I just have to press a button to change the VAT on my computer.
