What a smug B@stard he is.
I watched his grovelling excuses on 'Question Time' last night. How I hate him.
He falls into the same camp as Lord ('I'm Really The PM'), Meddlesome.
What has that ex liberal, Guardian reading poser ever done except dig up a cricket-pitch a few years ago ?
S0d all, in my book.
(Rant over for the day !)

Re: Peter Hain.
Speaking --- as you know ---- as a Life-long WhiG --
I was so relieved when he left the Young Liberals --- where he seemed to think that his funcion was to find more and more ways of upsetting the Public. --- not good politically !
I imagine that scattering Drawing Pins on a Rugby Pitch is best done when the Players are not around --- unless you are brave enough to stand up for your Principles --- if any, !
I know little of his time in South Africa ---- perhaps he was wise enough to keep his head down, until he got to England --- as an Immigrant ?
