My congratulations also (or should I say "Welcome to the club"?), Katharine. I assume you have your free bus pass, you should be entitled to cheap lunches, cheap rides on the Ffestiniog Railway (Katharine wrote:Why thank you kindly, I had not expected this today!!! Today is our 37th wedding anniversary and we have had a lovely day out in mid-Wales. Beautiful weather, glorious views over the mountains and most of the tourists at the beach not clogging up the roads![]()
We are about to go out to dinner with an old friend. He visits the railway for a fortnight each year to Guard - he guarded the very first Ffestiniog Railway train I ever rode on, and as a retired Maths teacher we have a lot in common.

I have managed to take two of the busiest days of the year off

I'll pay for it on Friday when I pick up the pieces!!!
Kerren, I am delaying the income from HMG for the moment. Everyone in Wales has had free prescriptions since April, one of the advantages of devolution. Mary the eye test is booked for next week!
Happy birthday Mrs C - it is a very good day to have a birthday!
