I would have instinctively disagreed with you on the question so I tried looking it up. Collins Dictionary is no help on this so I checked "The Right Word at the Right Time" which, IMHO, is the second best book available about UK English writing. by the by everyone, would it be worng of me to post my religous studies coursework question up, as i need Christian Perspectives on bits of it, but have no time to properly interview anyone.
